About – Daniel Comben

Photographer & Mixed Media Artist

Daniel Comben is a mixed media artist and entrepreneur based in Perth, Western Australia, specialising in photography. From an early age, he explored a variety of creative mediums, including music, painting, photography, film, drawing, and graphic design.

In 2014, Daniel made the bold decision to leave full-time work and pursue photography as a freelancer. He quickly gained recognition in the fashion and portrait industry, with his work published in national magazines such as Inked Australia and featured at high-profile events, including Miss World Australia in 2015.

Between 2015 and 2017, Daniel worked as both a resident club photographer and bartender at Lost Society Bar in Perth. This experience deepened his understanding of the power of photography in marketing—his images weren’t just mementos of a night out but played a crucial role in attracting new patrons and shaping the venue’s identity. When Lost Society closed its doors in 2017, Daniel’s curiosity about marketing and brand storytelling only grew, fuelling his drive to create compelling visuals that help brands expand their reach.

In 2018, he took a step back from photography to travel, bartending in some of Australia’s most stunning locations, including Coral Bay, WA, and Byron Bay, NSW. This period allowed him to gain fresh perspectives and new inspiration.

Returning to Perth in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, Daniel launched several photography-focused businesses, including Cheeky Booth and Flash Photo Studios. Over time, his passion for photography reignited, and today, more than a decade since he first picked up a camera, he is more driven than ever to create stunning, thought-provoking visuals that tell stories, captivate audiences, and leave lasting impressions.

Available for hire nationally and internationally, Daniel is ready to bring his expertise to your next creative campaign.
